Stars & Stripes Forever

Posted by Betsy Barron (Philadelphia, PA, United States) on 4 July 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This is a shot of a flag inside Bryce Ritter's workshop... Hope to have some great fireworks shots up this week! Happy July 4th everyone!

All the world’s a stage. Self-taught, still photographer Betsy Barron is a 70s child recalling the simple, natural pleasures of being outside and watching the light on her world. She’s a decades-long Philadelphia artist who combines her eye for form and function with the calm aesthetic of a passer by. Guided by light and lines with impact, her work speaks to the worth of daily pleasures and absorbing your field of view.

Betsy’s photography is part of many private and corporate collections in Philadelphia and New York. In 2014, she was selected to lead a fine art photography initiative with a worldwide luxury retailer.

I love that old flag. To me a worn flag is a touching symbol.
