State of Disrepair

Posted by Betsy Barron (Philadelphia, PA, United States) on 27 November 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

I drive by this Bison farm every single day. This window has been slowing falling sideways, down and out...and I wanted to capture it before it was too late...

All the world’s a stage. Self-taught, still photographer Betsy Barron is a 70s child recalling the simple, natural pleasures of being outside and watching the light on her world. She’s a decades-long Philadelphia artist who combines her eye for form and function with the calm aesthetic of a passer by. Guided by light and lines with impact, her work speaks to the worth of daily pleasures and absorbing your field of view.

Betsy’s photography is part of many private and corporate collections in Philadelphia and New York. In 2014, she was selected to lead a fine art photography initiative with a worldwide luxury retailer.
She lives and works in suburban Philadelphia. See more at MY WEBSITE

@Lorraine: We had a terrific wind storm last night that knocked power our to our area. When I drove past this barn today, the window was GONE! How's that for good timing?? :)

Ces lieux délabrés ont l'avantage d'être photogéniques. Belle image.
