Memorial at Midnight

Posted by
Betsy Barron (Philadelphia, PA, United States) on 11 April 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

This is the last of my shots from our DC trip - we shot so much, I have lots more images but I'm saving them for a rainy day!

All the world’s a stage. Self-taught, still photographer Betsy Barron is a 80s child recalling the simple, natural pleasures of being outside and watching the light on her world. She’s a decades-long Philadelphia artist who combines her eye for form and function with the calm aesthetic of a passer by. Guided by light and lines with impact, her work speaks to the worth of daily pleasures and absorbing your field of view.

Betsy’s photography is part of many private and corporate collections in Philadelphia and New York. In 2014, she was selected to lead a fine art photography initiative with a worldwide luxury retailer.
She lives and works in suburban Philadelphia. See more at MY WEBSITE

Incredible; a strikingly beautiful interpretation in sepia. I love the cherry blossom frame.

Lovely. What grabs me is how the cherry blossoms curve around the image and your eye has to keep coming back to the Jefferson Memorial. Sepia and grain work well here too.
