Sharing the Storm

Our neighbor's horses... Trinity & Sammy. What a crazy beautiful snow we had yesterday - big fat flakes that fell for hours. I'm not opposed to snow so to speak, just the cold and the ice that usually accompanies it. An early shot of snow such as this suggests we'll have more of the same all winter long. I guess I should get used to it! The kids like it a least...

I am resolved to try to embrace the cold...it's not easy...But photo ops like this do make it more bearable.

This is beautiful and the composition is unusual and interesting.

If we had a distinguishable winter "look" here in FL, I'd enjoy getting out in it to take pix. I've thought about travelling north for a spell to see winter again and take pictures, but the time factor is a pain and so... there are some winter things we can do in FL that will break the routine. I am needing to go on some kind of photo shoot. There is not a photo club that is active in Bradenton that I can locate; I wish there was something like that here. That would be so much fun - the stories you've shared of the shoots you and your club/friends have gone on has made me wish for a club here all the more. I'm wondering about actually trying to start one, but I've never been in a photo club before and really don't know much about getting one going.

That was a great, early snowstorm that we had. I love this faceless portrait of the horses. It's a very unique composition, especially for an animal portrait. I love the contrast of the royal blue covers and the dark brown coats of Trinity and Sammy against the snow. Very nice and pleasing to the eye.

Really wonderful framing, enjoy the first snowfalls. We got a little overnight here, but it turned to rain, and now its sunny...LOL....so didn't get any pictures.
