#4 in our comparison series -to be honest, I didn't spend much time on this one - did my favorite 'brown/white' conversion.. a clone here and there.. and a little digital facelift.. every girl can use one now and then! I don't think you needed the digital face lift on that beautiful face. Very well processed and I like Russ's version as well.

I like your interpretation; it shows what looks to me like a slightly more serious side to Betsy. Russ' version shows a more laid-back Betsy, in a field of bright colorful flowers. I found that one just a little more appealing for a variety of whimsical reasons. This one is serious, focused. That one has a touch of sweetness and a light air. Both are you; both versions are good even so.

As much as I like colour and Russ showing more of a setting a b&w is always more dramatic. The only thing is maybe cropping the trees in the background I think it would make the image stronger.

I like this in B 'n W version very much, Betsy ... and you're not 'hiding' behind any type of diffusion. *smile*
It's not easy to have all the camera focus on ourselves.

nice work on the post production, about the framing has i was scrolling down i think this would make a strongrer image if you gave a litle crop to the top, thus focusing our attention on the subject, just a thought, cheers

A difficult decision. I think this version has more portrait in the landscape portrait and Russ' version is more landscape. I like the intimacy of this one as a portrait. I am a sucker for monochrome in portraits.

was a tough call for me I like them both, I like the tight crop on this for a portrait shot, but the color one is so full of lovely colors it took it but a slim margin for me
