This one is definitely dreamy and very romantic. I think it really captures a wonderful mood. The only thing I might have done was to crop out the three, 2 actually with one lesser one above the 2, little bright spots of sky that are peeking through the trees in the middle of the frame. My eye keeps wandering to them. Interestingly enough in Russ' version they don't draw my attention away as much so I think the processing here has made them more apparent

I like the romantic mood of this one better than Russ' version although major props to Russ since he took the shot!

Well Mark just took a look at both and he prefers Russ' version so between the two of us it is a draw.

I really like this soft look a lot. I have to echo others' comments and say it is very dreamlike and ethereal. It's like something from a dream sequence in a romantic movie or an artist's depiction of heaven and the afterlife. It also reminds me of a print from one of the very old glass plate negatives that I have. This is very original and shows a lot of out-of-the-box creativity compared to the straightforward look of my processing. As much as I'm dismayed at reading "I vote for Russ's or I vote for Betsy's today" (art is subjective, so I expect people to prefer one version over another), I'm giving yours the thumbs up, Bets. This is very original. You'll have to give me a sidebar on your secret.

Betsy, you have given this shot a vintage feel. I echo what others have said about the dreamy soft focus mood, it's delightful and sort of like looking back in time... like seeing a beloved but fading polaroid in the old family album.
