Interesting tree. This must be from the Lord of the Rings.

I agree with you, Betsy. This has been one of the more green, colorful and beautiful springs we have had in a very long time! This is an excellent morning shot! Love the light!

...also a very prolific spring (a-a-achoo!). Looks like a great place to take a walk. Very peaceful. Benadryl anyone?

Hi Betsy, lovely woodland scene as everybody before me have already mentioned. One point I must ask though, and that is why your choice of camera settings ?
16 May 2008 3:43pm
@Observing: Thanks! I wanted a greater depth of field to lead your eye down the path - and to have everything sharp from foreground to background - I probably could have backed the focal length out for a wider angle, but there was a cluster of distracting trees to my left - I closed down to f/32 for the greater DOF and for a longer exposure to get those first rays of sunlight just right. This was shot on a tripod (Thanks, Russ!!!!) Oh, and ps. I try to shoot ISO 50 or 100 when I'm on a tripod because, hey, why add any noise if you don't need to!?
Beautiful. I love the way the eye strolls down the path.

You are becoming one with your tripod, grasshopper. It is your friend. :)
