So naturally, I had to Google 'new york howl' and here is what it says:

"The New York Howl formed in the depths of NYC's downtown underground in July 2005. Their energetic live shows deliver raw punk energy, soulful uplifting gospel, dirty blues and uncomfortable silence."

Not to be judgmental, but it sounds kinda weird.
