Egret Sanctuary

I was trying to find a good spot to shoot the sunset overlooking the waterway, and I heard all this squawking and screeching. As I approached I saw nearly 300 egrets bedding down for the night in a grove of trees. I quickly ran to get my 300mm lens so I could get some shots without being intrusive (or scaring them off!) This one was my favorite. Pls. excuse my dust-ridden sensor!
